first flight

It’s been a long time coming. Since the invite to interview for the job was received, apart from 3 weeks in Hawaii (hehe) it has been pretty much non-stop with the studying. So that’s February through til October, just cramming new information in as much as damn possible, meanwhile simultaneously packing up and moving countries. Not something you want to do every year. But it’s all been leading up to him getting out there and starting to fly those massive planes (A350’s for any airplane geeks). Finally the first flight was here. A simple Bangkok and back in a day, and in an observational capacity but STILL, this felt monumental. It went awesomely and he loved it. Phew.

This seemed worth a celebration so when he got back (after a nap) we headed off to Kowloon side to the Ozone Bar. Way up on the 118th floor, the views are very spectacular as were the desserts … and the drink prices. It was fun to be able to celebrate such a big milestone, and we enjoyed people-watching, and then ended the evening with a good giggle when the waiter came by to advise that men are not allowed to wear shorts there after 9pm - so either we had to leave or he could provide some pants to change into! We were on our way out anyway so didn’t take up the pants on offer, but saw one poor bloke being handed a pair as we got into the elevator.
