I hate the first week back at work after holidays. It doesn’t matter what job I am doing I just struggle to go back to reality. So to help with this and as I was flying solo, I decided to dig into my weekly “What’s on in Hong Kong” emails I subscribe to and find something to do at the end of the work week that was slightly random.

I found the HK Flower Show on Friday night, back to my roots I thought it would be interesting to compare to the Ellerslie Flower Show so headed along, some of the displays were pretty impressive but it was nowhere near as nice a setting as Hagley Park was the year I worked there! Interesting none the less.

Then Saturday morning I headed to a new area Wong Chuk Hang, on the south of HK Island, there was a second hand clothing sale for charity that sounded interesting. I didn’t venture too far but the few blocks I explored were very industrial with interesting looking cafes, shops and street art… an area to return to for sure.
