Quarantine Day 4

What a fun Saturday! From dawn til dusk I jumped from video call to video call, catching up with family and friends, playing jackbox tv, and pacing around my room. I decided to get in my 10,000 steps today, so every time I was chatting, I strolled- worked like a charm.

Not a particularly eventful day otherwise, I did at one point have 4 spacemen knock on my door and thought excitedly for a moment they were taking me home… but they just wanted to confirm I was who I say I am and yet again write down my mobile number. I also got a call from the health department who wanted to make sure I am still, indeed, me, and she really wanted to make sure she had my names in the right order (my 2 middle names have them bamboozled I think). She also wanted to re-confirm that I have no symptoms and whether I have been taking my temperature as instructed (yes I have, it’s normal). Not sure what all that was in aid of, but I am just playing along as required.

Got 3 meals brought to me today (woop) ate 0% of breakfast (was cold and smelled funny), 10% of the rice at lunchtime (just really didn’t feel like it) and all the rice and veges at dinner (meat was unidentifiable and smelled funny). So my snack cupboard was again put to good use.

I noticed today that the evacuation map on my door shows the layout of the whole floor, taking a closer look I am thankful I am not in the smaller room like the one beside me. There also seem to be some bigger places too - I hope the situations where multiple people are quarantining in one room are being given those! I was just trying to calculate how many people are housed here in total and bumped into an article about people missing out on moving into their promised housing, it says 4,000 flats here. Pretty huge numbers considering this isn’t the only camp in Hong Kong.

The better-half is doing great in hospital, still feeling healthy, he got tested again for coronavirus today so those results will be interesting. He has clocked his second PlayStation game in 3 days, is finding the food ok but supplementing with snacks, and was about to start a mini-workout when I got off the phone with him this evening. He also joined in some video call games today so some of my family got to check out his awesome hospital-issue PJs.

So I’m off - it’s time for my daily Tiger King fix - today’s pics (as you can see my world has already narrowed to food):
