With a couple of long weekends in a row I wasn’t going to pass up the chance to get some longer travels in. A friends wedding took us to Switzerland for a few days, such a gorgeous time of year there. The wedding was amazing, super relaxed, lots of good food, drink and friends - the recipe for the best of nights. Also snuck in some short but sweet catch ups with the Swiss family of course.
I then headed back to Hong Kong for a couple of days work before another long weekend, this time in Adelaide. My little brother lives there and my dad and step-mum were visiting him so I popped over to join them for a few days. We spent one day road tripping outside of Adelaide to check out the beaches, even swimming briefly despite the freezing water. We drove up into the hills in some terrible weather but it was worth it for the epic German hot dogs we got in Hahndorf. We also ventured out into wine country to ride some vineyard bike trails and despite absolutely freezing cold weather for cycling, enjoyed the adventure! There was also plenty of card playing, chatting and eating, always nice to get a blast of family time no matter how short.
Anyone would think after that travel schedule I should stay in Hong Kong for a while but no… trips to Tokyo, Panama and New York are on the horizon - exciting times!
